A Child-centred Approach

Tiny Tots adopts a child-centred approach. Using our play-based curriculum, we facilitate play in both our indoor and outdoor environment and the role as educator is structured to facilitate and draw out and extend what children learn through play.

Our Montessori curriculum recognises each child as an individual with a unique personality and ability. The combination of quality care and loving attention in our prepared classrooms, encourages the natural rhythm of learning and development.

Our combined preschool programme will further enrich the children’s lives by providing a multitude of specially designed, developmentally appropriate activities for children within the play-based/Montessori curriculum.

We combine these curriculums with following Aistear and Siolta, to support and guide us in planning for and providing enriching, challenging and enjoyable learning opportunities in our service. These frameworks also provide the guidelines we incorporate to support children’s learning through our partnerships with their families, interactions, play, and assessment.

Aistear: the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework (2009) and Síolta, The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education (2006)

We are delighted to use TeachKloud as our means of communication, keeping you up to date on how your child is throughout the day, and to show what they are doing and learning about through photos. Parents can be part of our curriculum and their child’s learning.
